Ready to leave for Laguna Seca

| The Big Bus
|
May 1999...Bill Allen stands beside his restored 1969 vintage British Ford Racecar Transporter before departing for the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca International Raceway. The transporter, lovingly called "The Big Bus", was originally custom built by Reall Coachworks, Ltd. in England, for the March F-2 team with Niki Lauda and was used on the Continent. It now carries the '67 NSU-TTS and an unrestored '69 NSU-TT. All of the restoration work on the Transporter and the NSU-TTS was done by Kip Fjeld of North Tustin, California.

| Preparing to unload the NSU-TTS

the NSU-TTS is about to be unloaded from "The Big Bus" at the 3rd Annual Tustin Thunder Road Races in 1998. Part of Kip Fjeld's restoration work included completely redesiging and reconstructing the rear loading and unloading ramp/door. Now everything is almost automatic.

| Bill Allen, 1969 SCCA National Champion, D-Sedan
|
In 1969 Bill Allen won the SCCA National Championship for D-Sedan's at Daytona International Raceway in Daytona Beach, FL. Here, Bill is shown with the sculptured 1st place trophy presented to the winner. Bill also won the Falstaff "Poppa Joe" award for the fastest qualifier in D-Sedan. His average speed for that race was 81.24 mph in a 1967, FIA Group II factory stock, NSU-TTS. All of the preperation work was done by Bill and Paul vander Heyden (who now runs a very quick Fiat-Abart 1000 sedan) at WILLIAM ALLEN RACING. All 4 of the NSU's had Bill's 4/1 extractor exhaust system for the TTS installed.
